Red Dot Design Museum, Gardens and Singapore Zoo
Singapore is lovely to wander around, it's fairly clean and we even saw people scooping leaves out of the water ways! Of course it was a bit hot for us Southeners but nothing freshly squeezed orange juice couldn't fix. Coming across Rodin's 'Thinker' bronze statue at Marina Bay was amazing as I had studied his work in art at school and done my own clay models based on his work. We also thoroughly enjoyed the cutting edge Red Dot Design Museum, and of course the sculptural Gardens by the Bay. Boy can they design gardens!! At night in the gardens a light show is played to a beautiful classical piece of music, well worth waiting for. We also went to the top of the Marina Sands Bay Hotel that is like a floating ship in the sky. Amazing views that's for sure but a bit too expensive to actually stay there. We are also trying to visit as many cat cafes as we can as we travel so we duly went to the 'Niko no Niwa' cat cafe and spent some time patting all the friendly cats, also well worth it if you want a breather from rushing around.

Off to the zoo. We had to get a new camera on the way for Marc as he had somehow got a spec of dirt in the lens of the one he'd been using and it was not budging at all. The zoo was really the only thing he had been looking forward to, so there's nothing like being forced to buy a camera on the spot. At least it was Singapore and not somewhere really remote.
So many weird animals!!
