Holiday Fun

11.10.16  POST CATEGORY  :  Together | Personal | Lifestyle | Children

It's not every school holiday that your closest friend of 8 years get's to come and stay, not for one night, but three! Genevieve and Emily spent one whole day doing 'spy' stuff along with assigned challenges suitable for good undercover agents. One of the challenges turned into making cookies to be delivered to various homes in the neighbourhood... especially the home that has the sign hand written on the letterbox 'No Visitor's Please' - what could be a better challenge than that?

Awards

22.6.16  POST CATEGORY  :  Personal | Celebration | Portrait | Beauty

The NZIPP IRIS Awards seem to come around each year very fast. I've always wanted to enter but always been too nervous so two years ago I had work ready to go and then chickened out at the last minute. Last year I actually entered and came away with a Silver and a Bronze award so this year I thought I'd try again...

I entered 8 images and came away with 6 Bronzes and 2 High Professionals, so I am one happy camper! A big thank you to all my lovely clients throughout the year that made it all possible and to my dear friend Lynn who is a whispering ear of encouragement!!

The Great Easter Egg Hunt

6.4.16  POST CATEGORY  :  Together | Personal | Lifestyle | Children | Family | Celebration
What better place for an Easter hunt than the great outdoors that's full of rabbit holes, perfect for depositing eggs in? Turns out putting them basically underground made the hunt quite hard and there was a bit of exasperated stomping around!! The girls were lucky that I didn't hide the eggs. I wanted to hide them all the way out into the distant bush which would've enlarged the search area by about five to ten times, then there would have been some moaning for sure!! Now this one doesn't look that hard to find does it... alas that was not the case!

Woodland Party

1.7.14  POST CATEGORY  :  Personal | Lifestyle | Children | Celebration
For Genevieve's 8th birthday she requested a 'woodland' party in the Botanical Gardens. If it was raining I was not going to be looking forward to the day, but it was a perfect winter afternoon, so warm that I had to move the chocolate to stop it from melting! There was a treasure hunt, sack races 'in old sacks please - they look more woodlandy', afternoon tea, presents, playground time and then to finish a massive pinecone piñata, that took forever to break! Maybe I can add piñata making to my list of special skills!!! (Thinking 'Bee Movie' and the guy who eats with chopsticks...)

The girls all had heaps of fun and it was lovely that on this occasion I had my lovely friend Lynn come along to take some piccies that actually have me in them too. I will post some of them as well soon :-) Click to view full blog post
