Lana & Matt

5.12.16  POST CATEGORY  :  Wedding | Celebration
Maybe the norwester was strong, but so was the commitment to get married. Lana & Matt have known each other since school and have been together for the last four years. They were going to be getting married in February last year but a special little bundle arrived instead... a whole lot of cuteness in the form of Master Jago. Click to view full blog post

Maile & Roslyn - Married!

10.3.16  POST CATEGORY  :  Wedding | Celebration

Ros knew he had the ring in the house somewhere... she'd checked his wallet's receipts, and sure enough he'd been to the jeweller, but where was the ring? A special evening was coming up, it would be tonight... it wasn't. A family event was coming up, he'd pop the question then... he didn't. Ros's sister announced her engagement... she knew he had the ring, what was taking him so long?

Maybe it was Island time and what was the rush?... but eventually when Maile did propose to Roz, she was one happy camper and the wedding that she'd already been thinking about and planning 'like forever', got put into action full speed ahead. She knew what she wanted,a wedding that featured friends and family... a real celebration of two cultures coming together, Tongan and Kiwi.

Craig & Becca Married!

2.2.16  POST CATEGORY  :  Wedding | Celebration
It rained on their first date, it rained on their second date... infact anytime Craig and Becca go to do anything special together it seems to rain, so it was no surprise that when they woke up on the morning of their wedding it was, well, raining!

Craig and Becca met at high school, he was 18 and she was 16. She decided she liked him before she had even spoken to him. After mentioning this to her friends, they decided that the best plan of action would be for her to ask him to the upcoming school ball. Unfortunately he already had a girlfriend and so the plan didn't end with the intended outcome!!

Eventually though, they did become friends and around 6 months later they started dating. Craig's initall take on Becca was that she was pretty, fun to be with, and she was from England! What's not to like!! It didn't take too long to realise that they had a lot in common... they both loved the same kinds of things, wanted the same things out of life, shared the same faith, respected and love their families similarly and yet could be completely crazy and silly around each other. A perfect recipe for marriage.

Matt & Jillisa - Married!!

24.1.16  POST CATEGORY  :  Together | Wedding | Celebration

The McKenzie Basin is known for it's hot dry nor-wester winds and the 9th of January was no exception. The hair got a little extra styling and the flags got all twisted up but it was warm, perfect for the girls in their pretty buttery yellow summer dresses.

Jillisa and Matt have known each other since high school but it wasn't until University where Jillisa won best dressed at her Hall of Residence's end of year ball, that Matt really sat up and started to take notice of this gorgeous girl in another light. The two of them ended up travelling together but still Matt took forever to ask her out. Once he did though he wasn't slow to propose and so here we are on this hot summer's day looking out over the glistening waters of Lake Tekapo at the old hitching post from days gone by.

Your day was stunning! A day filled with not only sincerity and love for each other but humour and laughter. Keep that laughter alive and you guys will be able to endure the toughest storms easily!!

PS. Maybe you could hire yourselves out as traveling companions too. That inbuilt GPS of yours Matt, could make you quite a bit of money especially with your soon to be brother in-law;-)

Ian & Bronwyn Married!

18.12.15  POST CATEGORY  :  Together | Wedding | Family | Celebration
Bronwyn has 'kind of' been part of Ian's family for almost 20 years but she never really knew him. It was his sister Shona who Bronwyn flatted with at Uni that made her an honourary part of the family. That all changed this past Christmas though. Bronwyn was going to be staying in Auckland instead of heading south so Shona suggested "Why don't you have Christmas with us this year?". It just so happened that her brother was going to be home for Christmas and as it turned out they seemed to have a lot in common. One tramping trip later they were slowly starting to fall for each other. Bronwyn couldn't believe that after all those years of saying "I'll never marry a farmer" she had fallen head over heels for exactly that!!

Here we are just shy of Christmas and it's all hair and makeup, flowers and dresses... two gorgeous people who love each other dearly are about to change their lives forever and start their wonderful journey of love, life and family together. My beautiful friend and cousin who I have been friends with forever has found her soul mate, it's been worth the wait - he's a true gift from God, and a Pukekohe 'long keeper' for sure!!
