Dee & Simon's Country Wedding

27.2.18  POST CATEGORY  :  Together | Wedding | Celebration
It's not every girl who would patiently wait for thirty years for the man she loves to finally put a ring on her finger, but then Dee is no ordinary girl. She's so lovely, kind and considerate and well... she'd have to be to wait that long, aye Simon ;-)

A warm summer's day brought about the wedding of Dee's dreams, after all she's had a long time to envision how this would all play out. "Are the petals out?" she asked, "The globes above the main table?"... this was going to be beautiful!! Simon just went along with it for Dee I suspect. He's the practical, no fuss farmer type who didn't see why the ceremony should be any longer than ten minutes; I mean how many things are there that one actually has to do, in order to be legally married?  Click to view full blog post

Celebrations at Larnach's

8.1.18  POST CATEGORY  :  Together | Wedding | Celebration
How many wedding morning's do you wake up to an article being in the paper about your impending nuptials? I suspect it's not that often, but that is exactly what happened for Karla and Dan who's entire wedding party stayed at Studholme Hall where they had been dormitory companions over ten years ago. It might have taken a lot of travelling around the globe and a decent amount of time (with one's Mum saying "He's the one Karla!!"), but finally these two, who absolutely adore each other get to hang out for the rest of their lives together. In Karla's words "I can't believe I get to marry my best friend today" Click to view full blog post

Lana & Matt

5.12.16  POST CATEGORY  :  Wedding | Celebration
Maybe the norwester was strong, but so was the commitment to get married. Lana & Matt have known each other since school and have been together for the last four years. They were going to be getting married in February last year but a special little bundle arrived instead... a whole lot of cuteness in the form of Master Jago. Click to view full blog post

Maile & Roslyn - Married!

10.3.16  POST CATEGORY  :  Wedding | Celebration

Ros knew he had the ring in the house somewhere... she'd checked his wallet's receipts, and sure enough he'd been to the jeweller, but where was the ring? A special evening was coming up, it would be tonight... it wasn't. A family event was coming up, he'd pop the question then... he didn't. Ros's sister announced her engagement... she knew he had the ring, what was taking him so long?

Maybe it was Island time and what was the rush?... but eventually when Maile did propose to Roz, she was one happy camper and the wedding that she'd already been thinking about and planning 'like forever', got put into action full speed ahead. She knew what she wanted,a wedding that featured friends and family... a real celebration of two cultures coming together, Tongan and Kiwi.
