Hanoi Explorations
14.5.19 POST CATEGORY : Personal | LifestyleIf you like cats, small dogs and random detail shots, then this post is for you. We arrived in Hanoi after traveling from a wedding in Perth, thinking it would be good opportunity to show Genevieve how other cultures flourish in this world of ours. Just driving from the airport to our accomodation I think her eyes were as big as saucers and I could see her gripping the edge of her seat. Clearly we were about to die in the insane, 'no rules' traffic! I on the other hand was so excited about all the photographic opportunities that lay ahead that I was like a kid in a candy store. Marc had been to Vietnam before... quite a while ago... like maybe over twenty years, but he was keen to show us around.
The adventure began...

2.8.18 POST CATEGORY : Together | Personal | Lifestyle | FamilyThe end of the school holidays saw us take a train trip across the Canterbury planes to the West Coast on the Tranz Alpine. It was lovely to have extended family with us, let's just say the tubing that took nearly a whole hour just to get into ones wetsuits, wouldn't have been nearly as much fun without everyone there! No one would know who we were talking about when we drop 'Mr Green' a newly invented term, into converstations from now on either unless you were actually there ;-) The Tranz Alpine is one of the top ten train journeys in the world and I can understand why, although being a fellow kiwi, it just seems 'normal'.

11.10.16 POST CATEGORY : Together | Personal | Lifestyle | ChildrenIt's not every school holiday that your closest friend of 8 years get's to come and stay, not for one night, but three! Genevieve and Emily spent one whole day doing 'spy' stuff along with assigned challenges suitable for good undercover agents. One of the challenges turned into making cookies to be delivered to various homes in the neighbourhood... especially the home that has the sign hand written on the letterbox 'No Visitor's Please' - what could be a better challenge than that?

Brilliant photos and looks like both the girls had heaps of fun. So great that they have been such great friends for so long. Both beautiful little ladies, Emily & Genevieve :-)
Awards
22.6.16 POST CATEGORY : Personal | Celebration | Portrait | BeautyThe NZIPP IRIS Awards seem to come around each year very fast. I've always wanted to enter but always been too nervous so two years ago I had work ready to go and then chickened out at the last minute. Last year I actually entered and came away with a Silver and a Bronze award so this year I thought I'd try again...
I entered 8 images and came away with 6 Bronzes and 2 High Professionals, so I am one happy camper! A big thank you to all my lovely clients throughout the year that made it all possible and to my dear friend Lynn who is a whispering ear of encouragement!!
