Sam and Lisa's Covid-19 Lockdown Wedding

13.5.20  POST CATEGORY  :  Together | Wedding | Celebration

Lockdown Wedding!! Who could ever have imagined that the date you'd planned for your special day was going to end up in the middle of a pandemic! However, Sam and Lisa thought they'd just change things up and get married anyway. Who knows when people will be allowed to travel from overseas and gather in large groups again. From a church wedding with a large friends and family reception to a 10 people gathering on Lisa's Mum's lawn instead. They played it live to others over the internet so they could watch, and there was lots of passing phones around so people could say 'hi', checking out the stunning bride and groom.

Sam and Lisa, it's a day that you will never forget for so many unplanned reasons, having to do you own hair and makeup, Sam's suit not arriving and a last minute rescue from the local menswear shop in town, but most of all because you got to become Mr and Mrs! Your wedding is certainly one of the greatest hits to come out of the Covid-19 pandemic, congratulations you two!!

Sonya + Doug Married!

30.3.20  POST CATEGORY  :  Together | Wedding | Celebration
Sonya rung her best friend... "I think I've found the one, he's pretty amazing." It was sounding promising until Sonya exclaimed. "There is one thing though..." "What's that?" "He doesn't have a snorkel on his ute!"

Needles to say the lack of a snorkel quickly got overlooked and not only was there no snorkel on Doug's truck on their wedding day, he didn't even have a ute as it was getting repaired at the panel beaters (for hail damage apparently!).

These two absolutely adore each other and their vows were from the heart. You wpouldn't have seen two happier lots of parents either. Infact everyone looked pretty smitten, even Sonya's soon to be sister-in-law was overwhelmed on Sonya's first appearance. Besides, it's got to be a perfect match, they both agree that Whittaker's chocolate is the best, and who could disagree with that?! Click to view full blog post

Karl & Jamie - A Coastal Wedding

25.3.19  POST CATEGORY  :  Together | Wedding | Family | Celebration

There are a few things that Jamie really hates... brussel sprouts, snakes and a petrifying fear of heights. Meeting 'Mr Awesome' was going to be very difficult considering the country she was sure would definitely house someone of such a reputation, was New Zealand. This would mean flying and well, that meant soaring to great heights!!

Jamie faced her fear with great intrepidation, along with the odd sick bag or two and duely flew out to NZ from Canada. The first thing she did when she landed in Auckland was to find a phone book to look up all the people who's last name was 'Awesome'. Imagine her disappointment when it turned out after years of anticipation, there was not one person with the surname 'Awesome'. Despite that initial letdown, she met some people she liked at the hostel she was staying at and then she left Auckland for Rotorua. One day her Mum called, but she had to cut the call short, because she had a date with a guy who she quite liked, although it was probably a mistake, because she missed her family and home, and she would be coming back to Canada within the year. And then she left New Zealand, following this guy to Port Hedland. Probably a mistake because she missed her family and she fully intended to come home. Besides that, the obvious reason for picking New Zealand over Australia in the first place was probably not to find 'Mr Awesome' really, it was that there were no snakes.

It turns out that snakes, spiders, heat, flying, being forced to go on gondolas with the family, and freezing cold Canadaian winters could not seperate these two. Karl really is Mr Awesome, and well now that makes you Jamie, Mrs Awesome.

Mel & Phil

28.11.18  POST CATEGORY  :  Together | Wedding | Celebration

Online dating... we've probably all got a friend who's dipped their toes into this online world and meet some potential serial killers, but Phil is definitely not one of them. He's a genuine, bubbly, loveable guy who's whole face lights up when he smiles. After much long distance driving to get to know Mel, the rather smitten Phil had trully fallen for miss Melanie and it wasn't going to be long before he popped the question...

Fast foward to a stunning day in pretty Akaroa, a day calm and warm and plonked between endless amounts of rain, it couldn't have been nicer. I was doing a little internal dance exclaiming to myself over and over "the light, the light, it's so lovely!!" Mel you looked beautiful and Phil you were suitably dapper and finished off with your Grandmothers hat, made just for the occasion. How proud she would have been to see you wearing it on your wedding day, 'at long last' I can imagine her saying.

Blair & Amber

20.11.18  POST CATEGORY  :  Together | Wedding | Celebration

I think it's unlikely that many girls would imagine they are going to meet the man of their dreams at the supermarket, but this is exactly what happened to Amber. She meet Blair in the deli section amongst the cold meats... it may have taken a while for Blair to melt her heart and make it his, but I can assure you their hearts belong to each other now, for definite, absolutely.

Stonebridge in Geraldine was the setting for the days events... a warm, slightly windy summery day...
