Matt & Jillisa

The McKenzie Basin is known for it's hot dry nor-wester winds and the 9th of January was no exception. The hair got a little extra styling and the flags got all twisted up but it was warm, perfect for the girls in their pretty buttery yellow summer dresses. Jillisa and Matt have known each other since high school but it wasn't until University where Jillisa won best dressed at her Hall of Residence's end of year ball, that Matt really sat up and started to take notice of this gorgeous girl in another light. The two of them ended up travelling together but still Matt took forever to ask her out. Once he did though he wasn't slow to propose and so here we are on this hot summer's day looking out over the glistening waters of Lake Tekapo at the old hitching post from days gone by.

Jillisa had shoes made to match the bridesmaids dresses, they were buttery yellow too and very pretty.

Your day was stunning! A day filled with not only sincerity and love for each other but humour and laughter. Keep that laughter alive and you guys will be able to endure the toughest storms easily!! PS. Maybe you could hire yourselves out as traveling companions too. That inbuilt GPS of yours Matt, could make you quite a bit of money especially with your soon to be brother in-law;-)
