Stonebridge and St Thomas's

Now this story of true love all started with a visit to the Physiotherapist for an injury. Colin is the Physiotherapist, so you may quickly presume that the visit to the clinic where he works was made by Paula. It wasn't. Instead, it was a visit by a lady called Anna who quickly befriended this young man who had recently moved here from Scotland and knew no one. Anna decided that what Colin needed was a beautiful young woman and she had some one in mind - Paula! Anna set them up on a blind date, which apparently didn't work out so well but they did decided to meet again. The second date went a lot better and it wasn't long before the two of them were flying to Scotland to spend Christmas with Colin's family. Unbeknown to Paula, Colin was on edge the whole of Christmas Day because he had secretly planned to ask her to marry him at just the right moment. Of course time marched on and the perfect moment just didn't present itself. It was getting later and later into the evening; I'm not sure it was even still Christmas day by the time his nerves overcame him and instead of getting down on one knee, he got down on two! A perfect Christmas (well maybe Boxing Day) proposal... Paula of course said "Yes"

The Macpherson tartan and of course, the two lads who flew out from Scotland especially to be Colin's groomsmen.

Colin and Paula spent hours making these perfectly cooked little heart shortbreads as wedding favours for their guests... now any man who spends this amount of time in a kitchen, is definitely worth keeping!
